NFL power rankings week 11 - A new team This week

It is Tuesday with another week of the NFL season behind us. That means it is time for another edition of my 2018 NFL Power Rankings. This week, we actually see a lot of shiftshifting around on the board, including a new team claiming the top spot.
As always, feel free to discuss my rankings in the comments at the bottom of the page, or even include your own power rankings. Tell me who I have too high or too low.

At the top

The New Orleans Saints move into the top spot in the rankings, and are probably playing the best football in the country right now. The only team that may be able to challenge that ascertation is the Kansas City Chiefs who look great in the AFC and could be 1a in the rankings. That does not take anything away from the third and fourth teams, the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots, who both have an argument to be at the top of the rankings as well. The top five are then rounded out by the Los Angeles Chargers, who may by the quietest elite team ever.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins fell to 5-5 on the season after a loss to the Green Bay Packers. The team drops one position this week, down to 17 on the season. They do not drop a lot because it was the Packers, who are still a force in the NFC despite a rough start to the season. It also keeps a .500 team right in the middle of the rankings, about where a .500 team should be.

Biggest gain

The Tennessee Titans jump five positions this week, moving all the way up to 12th overall after they beat the Patriots handedly. The Titans are starting to look like a playoff team, and their ranking now reflects that.

Biggest drop

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets both fall six positions, landing in the 30th and 31st spots, respectively. Both teams are struggling, and these falls put them about where they should be.

In the cellar

The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants climb out of the bottom five this week, making room for the Buccaneers and Jets. The Oakland Raiders are still dead last, with the Jets and Buccaneers then 31st and 30th respectively. The Denver Broncos are 29th, and honestly should probably be higher, but I did not want to jump them during their bye week. If they win in Week 11, they probably make a big climb ahead of some of the bad teams above them. The San Francisco 49ers round out the bottom five at 28th.
